Varroa mite

Easy to use convenient formulation. Simply lay one Thymovar® strip on top of the brood frame to the side of the colony and leave for 6 weeks, then replace with a new strip and leave for a further 6 weeks giving a 12 week treatment window ensuring the maximum number of brrod cells are open at some point during the treatment to control the varroa mites hidden within them.

Saves time and effort with no need to adapt hive structure. Thin design of the Thymovar® strip means that they are easily positioned ontop of the brood frame without the need for an additional eke to be placed on the hive so saving you time.

Thymovar contains thymol in its crystal form. Designed in Switzerland, it is ideal for working in cooler UK climate conditions. The gradual evaporation of the solid thymol crystals gives a gradual release of thymol over a longer period of time, reducing the stress on the bees and giveing a longer treatment window to control more varroa mites.

Use half and keep the second half fresh for longer. Each pack of Thymovar® contains 10 strips, enough product to treat 5 hives. The 10 strips are in 2 x 5 strip sealed sachets to ensure they stay fresh until use.

Approved for use on bee hives in the UK for control of Varroa mite (Varroa destructor).
